I had a great time whipping out these lovely cards & cute box that Terry Bolender designed. Terry is a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in Kent, WA, so all the products we use are sold by Stampin’ Up! Each month, she comes up with 6 to 7 projects (usually cards but sometimes she throws in a fun paper craft project) for us to make at her house and it’s only $10! She often has a theme planned, and this month’s theme was retiring products and items featured in the Summer Mini catalog. Clever Terry wanted us to fall in love with the products we used so we’d place an order for them before it was too late. :)
This is my favorite card, and it was perfect for my BMW motorcycle-ridin’ father in law (he’s really cool!) – I LOVE that we made the cool background using an embossing template and regular kitchen foil! This is one new technique I will be using in my cards, for sure:
This sweet and simple lady bug card was fun to make – I love Stampin’ Up!’s red ink and paper. I hope it’s not going to be discontinued, but I know the Whimsical Garden stamp set is being retired:
Sometimes the simplest, less busy card, the better. Here’s a delicate sparkly floral card:
This pretty rainbow card looked easier to make than it was – let’s pretend the stamps behind the clear buttons at the top are nice and straight, shall we?
Check out this fun Westerny birthday card we all made that night!
This card says, “Thank you for touching my life” and we used a cool card template that cut & scored the card while cutting out the pretty square shape. Then, we double stamped a flower and masked it to stamp the leaves, then punched it with the same shape. It’s much easier than it sounds.
This is a close-up of the pretty stamped image – ooh, la la!
Finally, here is the cute box we made and filled with Starburst candy. The box was already cut out for us – I just made a tag and put it together:
Thanks for reading my post, and please read about Rebecca’s Card Challenge, and then vote for your favorite cards!

Lovely cards! So, are you going to show us how to do the foil embossed one?
Is there a secret, or do you just run the foil through with the embossing plate as if it was paper?

Thank you – and that’s a good idea: I should make a little video of how easy it is to emboss foil! Basically, you want to use a glue stick (finally, a real use for a glue stick!) and run it all over some scrap cardstock. Adhere foil to it and wrap all four sides of foil around the cardstock. Run it through the embossing machine with the right plate or folder and “shappow” – instant cool looking foiled background paper! Leave the cardstock stuck to the foil. It helps to have a thicker, less flexible piece to attach to your card.

Wow, that sounds easy! I need to try do that sometimes. Need some embossing plates first though lol
