FOUR Cards From One Stamp

WHOOPS!  [UPDATE: This is what I get for blogging so late at night.  I thought I had made a fourth card, but only found three pictures, so this was titled “Three Cards From One Stamp” until I found the fourth one.  The other card is the last one pictured.]

I bought a poinsettia stamp at Impress Rubber Stamps a long time ago and wanted to use it with my sparkly Copic Spica AtYou glitter markers.  Finally, it’s the right season to use this stamp!  The pictures don’t show how glittery the colored image is, unfortunately, but trust me – the petals on those babies sparkle and shine!

Now that I look at the photos of these cards, they seem so elementary and basic… but after coloring those petals for what seemed like an hour, I figured I could get away with a simpler background.  So, here are the three four cards I made with just one stamp.

The card bases for these three four cards came from DCWV, and I buy their products at JoAnn.  DCWV sells fabulous boxes of 60 scored, patterned or opaque cards with envelopes and I wait until they’re on clearance for $9-10 and buy them.

For the card above, I used a gold leafing pen and carefully lined the edges with gold.  I am thinking my new ott light is not the best for shining onto cards.  Maybe if I’m really good, Santa Claus will bring or make me a light box for me to photograph my cards in.

The edge of this card was created with a Fiskars border punch and I found the pretty gold and rhinestone sticker at Craft Warehouse in Gresham, OR, one of my favorite stores on the planet!  Oh, how I wish we had Hobby Lobby and Craft Warehouse here.

Dude! It’s snowing on your blog! I totally thought I was seeing this at first… it’s so late! LOL.

Cute cards! I want a Hobby Lobby too! 🙂 And I’m thinking YOUR Santa, might build you a lightbox for photographing… if you asked nicely. 😉

Hee hee, yep, I added SNOW! Isn’t it fun? It will only be snowing on my blog until January 4th. Thanks for checking out my cards, and if we get a Hobby Lobby, I’ll certainly let you know. Gramma would probably love to have one here, too. We could do so much damage if we had a HL here… and Santa knows a light box is high up on my wish list, so I’ll try and be really good.

Are the poinsettia petals two different colors? Lots of detail there I can see how it would take awhile! Good job!
